Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, I’ve always encountered the need for sharp implements whether it be axes for wood cutting, garden tools, or hunting and fishing knives. Rarely, did a day go by where I wasn’t pulling out my Boker pocket knife, Buck hunting knife, or my Western filet knife for a task or chore on hand requiring a sharp edge.

As I grew older, I pursued my career with the federal government but never gave up my passion for sharp, pointy things. I made my first knife, a hunting skinner, in 2017 and it took off from there. Since retirement, I’ve evolved my passion for knifemaking into my full service knife shop where I have forging, grinding, finishing, and leatherwork equipment able to meet almost any made-to-order commissioned knife request.
